A travelling film campus and festival bringing together passionate storytellers from across Africa and the world to make films in Kenya. Season III takes the festival across 4 counties — Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru — from 05 November to 18 December 2026.

Who can apply to SSAFF?

SSAFF is open to young filmmakers, film students, writers, and creatives from Africa and beyond who are passionate about storytelling.

Is there a cost to attend?

Applications are free. Selected participants will receive further details regarding any associated costs and available sponsorships.

Where does the festival take place?

Season III travels across Kenya — Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru — from 05 November to 18 December 2026.

What experience do I need?

No specific level of experience is required. We welcome beginners to professionals. A passion for film and storytelling is what matters most.

When is the application deadline?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply early as spaces are limited.
